HSA: Humanities Students Association

VICE PRESIDENT:
ANNA Eraclides

Degree: Bachelor of Law & Bachelor of International Relations.

I was born in the UK and have since lived in Portugal, South Africa and Australia. I completed my final years of school in Johannesburg and began at Bond in 2007 on a Law Faculty Dean’s Scholarship. I am now my 6th semester of my degree and I am also involved with the Bond University Rotaract Club and the Bond International Relations Organisation (BIRO).

Goals for 2009/2010:

My primary role as Vice-President is to work closely with the President and ensure that all initiatives coordinated by the HSA are professionally executed and successful. By the end of 2009, the HSA hopes to establish a strong structure for the new initiatives we have introduced. This will ensure their success and continuation into the future.

An example of an initiative that I will be overseeing is the creation of an ‘HSS Week’, which will be an entire week devoted to allowing students to showcase and develop their skills and talents in various areas, including Public Speaking and Creative Writing. In addition, the HSS week will serve as a promotion of the various degrees offered in the Faculty of Humanities’ and Social Sciences. In addition, I will also ensure that the Second Hand Booksale continues to improve and that the HSA becomes more financially stable.
